Fabrizio Romano has revealed that reported Liverpool target Patson Daka has already agreed to join Leicester City, adding that it’s just a matter of paperwork now.

Sky Germany reported earlier in June that Liverpool were keen on signing the Red Bull Salzburg attacker.

Considering he scored 34 goals in all competitions last season and would only cost £17 million, he could well be one of the bargains of this summer’s transfer window.

But according to the reliable Italian journalist, Daka will be plying his trade under former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers at the King Power next season and beyond.

Daka alternative badly needed

Former Reds left-back Jose Enrique previously revealed this month that he’d love to see his old club sign the Zambia marksman.

And Liverpool fans would ultimately love to see him signed too, but it isn’t happening and now the Anfield side must switch targets.

Jurgen Klopp’s forward line isn’t as healthy as it was a couple of years ago.

Yes, Mohamed Salah is still banging them in, but Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino only managed a combined 25 goals in all competitinos last term.

Somebody like Daka could’ve been perfect to provide major competition next season but unfortunately for the Reds, it won’t be happening.
