Dharmesh Sheth has told the Transfer Show on Sky Sports (23/08/21 at 5:20 pm) that an ‘unnamed German club’ are going to make a third bid for Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah.
The Sky reporter claims that Arsenal value their academy product at £20 million and they have already rejected two bids for his talents.
It seems as though Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Folarin Balogun and Gabriel Martinelli are ahead of him in the striker pecking order.
Added with that, there doesn’t seem to be any agreement on a new deal with Nketiah, so given that he is in his final year, the club are trying to sell him before next Tuesday’s deadline, according to the Sky journalist.
“Arsenal thought to value Nketiah at £20 million,” said Sheth. “There is an unnamed European club, we think from Germany, who have made two bids for Nketiah.
“Both bids have been rejected. But they are expected to go back in.
“Earlier on in the summer, Arsenal actually held talks with Nketiah and his representatives about extending his contract because he is into the final year.
“Those talks did not reach a resolution, hence why we are in a position now where Arsenal are prepared to listen to offers for Nketiah. But they want to make sure it’s best, not just for Nketiah, but for Arsenal.”

Nketiah has had his chances in North London, but he just hasn’t been able to take them, although Arsenal’s demise hasn’t helped.
If he does leave then it will be the best for the Englishman’s career and he should just look towards his fellow Hale-End academy product, Joe Willock, as inspiration.
Whether or not Nketiah can get a move to another Premier League club like Williock remains to be seen, but his poaching talents could be effective for many.
It seems as though a possession-based team that just needs that finishing touch inside the final third would suit the all-time leading goalscoring for England U21’s.
