Liverpool winger now wanted by Leeds had big aspirations in the Bundesliga.

Liverpool winger Ryan Kent is attracting interest once again, with The Mirror (18/12 p54) reporting he could be recalled from his loan at Freiburg.
The report states Leeds United are one of the Championship sides keen to renew interest in the talent, who spent last season on loan at Barnsley.
A return to the Championship was not what Kent had in mind earlier this season however.
He told The Times in October that he had very lofty ambitions in Germany: “I think I can be young player of the year here, [At Freiburg?] No, the Bundesliga.”

Unfortunately it has not panned out that way for Kent… the 21-year-old has made one start, five substitute appearances, and has no goals or assists.
Leeds found out first hand last season what Kent was capable of, as the young winger netted against them in a 3-2 win for Barnsley at Oakwell.
And Kent should not see a move to Leeds as a step back, in fact it could be a step forward for his career.
His spell at Freiburg has not panned out well at all, and at Leeds surely his chances of playing regular football will be enhanced.
If his gamble in Germany continues as it is, he will have wasted a year. A switch on loan to Leeds gives him another chance, and with the Whites chasing promotion, there is a potential opportunity to be part of something special.
