A round-up of the latest transfer rumours from Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, including Jadon Sancho’s loan return to Borussia Dortmund.

HITC Football transfer gossip

Borussia Dortmund are stepping up their interest in a return for Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho, HITC Football understands. Talks are ongoing between the teams over his return on loan. The deal could also extend into 2025 with BVB only paying a minor loan fee.

Arsenal transfer gossip

Arsenal’s longest-serving player, Mohamed Elneny, is now on the verge of leaving the squad this month. The Daily Mail reports that the midfielder will leave Emirates Stadium after eight years this winter. He is currently studying bids from Super Lig duo Besiktas and Trabzonspor.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney remains hopeful of agreeing a transfer to Arsenal in January. But the Bees are likely to block a deal by requesting £100m for their returning talisman. Gunners chiefs will outright refuse to pay their asking price in the winter sales, per Football Transfers.

Chelsea transfer gossip

Chelsea are due to send Alex Matos on loan to Huddersfield Town for the rest of this season after agreeing to a deal. The two clubs are now finalising the final terms, per The Telegraph.

On-loan Blues defender Lewis Hall will stay at Newcastle United for the rest of the campaign despite failing to get into Eddie Howe’s side. The 19-year-old also remains on course to meet the terms of a £28m obligation for the Magpies to buy the full-back, The Telegraph reports.

Chelsea are looking to hijack Manchester United’s interest in the transfer of Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva. But As Aguias rejected the Stamford Bridge side’s opening offer of £52m including Armando Broja. Instead, The Sun adds that Silva will cost his £87m release clause.

Stamford Bridge chiefs are also looking to hijack Manchester United’s interest in the transfer of OGC Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have replaced Tottenham Hotspur as the Red Devils’ main rival after Spurs failed to agree a move.

Bayern Munich are set to revive their long-standing interest in the transfers of Chelsea and Fulham stars Trevoh Chalobah and Joao Palhinha in January. Der FCB coach Thomas Tuchel is driving the Bundesliga giants’ moves. Tuchel also wants to sign both, per the Independent.

Borussia Dortmund have held talks with Chelsea over the transfer of Ian Maatsen in January. But the Blues want a £30m price tag after accepting a similar bid from Burnley last summer. However, the Evening Standard adds that Dortmund cannot pay the fee, so are eying a loan.

Manchester United transfer gossip

Manchester United might target a low-cost forward in January with Bayern Munich pair Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thomas Muller options. The Athletic reports that the Red Devils could target a loan this month. They have also made contact over RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer gossip

West Ham United are among the clubs monitoring Eric Dier in view of a transfer for the out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur defender. Sporting Lisbon still retain a long-standing interest in his return. But ESPN reports that West Ham are looking into a switch with Dier free to move.

Tottenham will struggle to secure a transfer for Conor Gallagher in January due to Chelsea’s asking price. That is according to Football Transfers, which reports that Spurs cannot afford £60m for the midfielder due to FFP. So, they will hold off on a move until the summer sales.
