West Ham United’s Andy Carroll, Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi and Everton’s Ross Barkley have been voted into the top three.

The results from HITC Sport’s poll looking for the most impressive performance from a Premier League player this past weekend are in, but did Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi, Andy Carroll of West Ham or Everton’s Ross Barkley claim top spot?

3rd: Ross Barkley (14%)

The Everton midfielder takes third spot on the poll, edging out Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne and Swansea City’s Tom Carroll, who finished fifth and fourth respectively. Barkley was incredibly influential as Ronald Koeman’s men came away from their clash with Crystal Palace with a 1-0 win.

2nd: Andy Carroll (30%)

Andy Carroll’s performance in West Ham’s impressive win over Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium earned him nearly a third of the votes, but it was still only good enough for second place. Carroll scored twice for the Hammers, who won their second league game in a row, beating Boro 3-1.

1st: Shkodran Mustafi (41%)

Shkodran Mustafi’s display in Arsenal’s narrow victory over Burnley saw him earn 41% of the vote. The German looked assured defensively and broke the deadlock at the Emirates with his first goal since joining the Gunners last summer. Arsenal have never lost when Mustafi has played, winning 15 times in 21 games.
