Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Dele Alli today.

Alli was in action for Tottenham in their pre-season friendly match against Reading at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this afternoon.

The England international midfielder started the match and played for 62 minutes, and the 24-year-old did well for Jose Mourinho’s side.

Alli looked sharp and worked well in tandem with Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura, and the former Milton Keynes Dons man also scored a wonderful goal.

Some Tottenham fans were impressed with the display produced by Alli and have praised him on Twitter.

Below are some of the best comments:

Big player next season

Alli is one of the best players in the Premier League, but he has not been at his best for a while now.

While the England international did relatively well for Spurs last season, he could not always influence games and could have been more consistent.

According to WhoScored, Alli made 21 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs in 2019-20, scoring eight goals and providing four assists in the process.

With Tottenham aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season, the 24-year-old will play a key role in that quest.
