Aston Villa and Leeds United will be aiming to earn promotion to the Premier League this season.

Some Premier League fans on Twitter have hit back at Robbie Savage after he controversially claimed that he would prefer teams like Aston Villa and Leeds United in the Premier League rather than a Huddersfield or a Fulham.
Both Villa and Leeds are considered two of the biggest clubs outside of England’s top flight and they are trying their utmost best to return back to their good old days.
But with them sitting in the Championship, it has seen clubs like Bournemouth, Huddersfield and Brighton taste Premier League football and deservedly maintain their status.
Here is Savage sharing his views on what types of teams he would like in England’s top-flight, as posted on BBC Radio 5 Live’s official Twitter account:
Savage’s comments clearly upset some people, with one fan stating that clubs are where they are on merit and he has forgotten the concept about promotion and relegation.
Here is a selection of Premier League fans reacting on Twitter to Savage’s comments about Villa and Leeds:
Savage’s wish of seeing Villa and Leeds could come true at the end of the season because both teams are vying for promotion to the promised land.
At this moment in time, the Whites are sitting in an automatic position, while the Midlands club are in the top-six and would need to go up via the play-off places.
