HITC Sport understands several Premier League clubs are tracking free agent Farfan.

A number of Premier League clubs have been alerted to Peru international Jefferson Farfan’s availability after he left Al Jazira, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Farfan has left United Arab Emirates side Al Jazira to return to his native Peru due to the club allegedly breaching part of his contract, making the player a free agent.

The skilful attacker still had two years to run on his contract at Al Jazira, but he has opted to leave after the club failed to adhere to his contract stipulations
The 31-year-old joined Al Jazira in the summer of 2015, but he saw his first season blighted by a series of injuries restricting him to just nine appearances.
However, Farfan is back to full fitness now and he has played all three Arabian Gulf League games for Jazira so far, scoring twice, and also made three appearances in the Arabian Gulf Cup, scoring once.

Farfan boasts a wealth of experience of European football after successful spells at PSV Eindhoven and Schalke and his availability on a free transfer makes him an attractive proposition to a number of Premier League clubs.
He scored 62 goals in 162 appearances for PSV and after joining Schalke in 2008 he made over 200 appearances for the German club, scoring 53 goals.
