David Moyes has admitted that he has “unfinished business” in club management but confessed that he wants to take charge of Scotland in the future.
Moyes has been linked with the national team job on a number of occasions in the past but has never really come close to taking the reins but is intrigued by the prospect of leading the Tartan Army.
The West Ham boss insists it would need to be the “right time” but was very much open to taking charge of the national team.
“Yeah, I do now,” Moyes told BBC Scotland.
“I’m getting now to a stage in my career where I really enjoy club management and feel I have unfinished business to do yet.
“But I think at the right time, when things are right for me and if it’s right for Scotland, then it might be a consideration.”
Moyes may have to wait a while for Scotland opportunity
Moyes would no doubt be among the favourites for the job were it to become available but it seems unlikely that Steve Clarke is going anywhere for a while.

The Scotland boss will be looking at the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and next year’s finals in Qatar after reaching Euro 2020.
Once Clarke does move on, Moyes will have a big decision to make over whether or not it is time to move on from club football.
