Sunderland take on Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Southampton, Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace in their first six Premier League matches.

With the Premier League fixtures coming out earlier today, we predict the results of Sunderland’s first six matches.
Manchester City (Away) – Lose

Sunderland arguably have the toughest opener of any team in the Premier League.
City will be extremely motivated for this match as they look to impress in Pep Guardiola’s first game, and it is hard to see Sunderland getting anything from the Etihad Stadium.
Middlesbrough (Home) – Win
Sunderland are traditionally slow starters, but they will want to show their fans that this season is different.
A home match against newly promoted Middlesbrough will offer them a good chance to get three points on board.
Southampton (Away) – Draw
Southampton will still be adapting to life without Ronald Koeman, and Sunderland may view this as an opportunity to add more points to their total.
Everton (Home) – Draw

Everton are likely to be an improved side next season, and they will be looking to avenge the heavy defeat Sunderland inflicted on them at the Stadium of Light last campaign. This will be a close encounter.
Tottenham Hotspur (Away) – Lose
Spurs look set to challenge for the top four again, and a trip to White Hart Lane looks a daunting prospect.
Crystal Palace (Home) – Win
Palace go into the new campaign with little momentum, and if Sunderland play to their potential they should win this match.
Points: Eight – Two wins, two draws and two defeats would be a productive start for Sunderland, as they look to finally avoid being dragged into a relegation battle.
