Leeds United v Burnley, December 27
Leeds United will head into the match against Burnley on the back of a 6-2 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Although the Whites were very entertaining to watch against the Red Devils, the fact that they conceded as many as six goals should be a concern.
Burnley are in real danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season, and Leeds will have to make sure that they get maximum points from the match against the Clarets at Elland Road. One suspects that Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa will make sure that his players do just that.
Prediction: Leeds United 2-0 Burnley
West Bromwich Albion v Leeds United, December 29
West Bromwich Albion have a new manager in charge, Sam Allardyce, who knows how to keep teams in the Premier League. The Baggies are in big danger of getting relegated, and Big Sam will not worry about playing good football. Leeds are going to be find it hard to break down the Baggies’ back-line, and one should not be surprised if Bielsa’s side go down 1-0.
Prediction: West Bromwich Albion 1-0 Leeds United
Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, January 2
Tottenham Hotspur are challenging for the Premier League title, and head coach Jose Mourinho knows how to win against teams such as Leeds. Bielsa will relish the prospect of going head-to-head with Mourinho, and the Whites will give Spurs a run for their money.
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Leeds United
