Derby County are slowly re-building their season under Steve McClaren as they approach an important run of fixtures.
When Steve McClaren was announced as Derby County manager for a second time, it certainly turned alot of heads. Many were skeptical regarding the appointment so soon after he was dismissed, but the early signs are showing that slow progression is being made under the Englishman ahead of November’s remaining games.
Molineux – general view
Wolverhampton Wanderers – Away
It is easy to put this down as a must win for both sides, because it is if they want to keep their faint promotion hopes alive. Derby will be hoping that Wolves will still be managerless for this one, and when these two sides go head to head it almost always provides an entertaining clash.
Prediction: Wolves 1-1 Derby
Wolves manager Kenny Jackett
Rotherham United – Home
When facing the bottom of the league at home you would think it is a nailed on victory, but not in the Championship. Under Kenny Jackett the Millers are starting to revitalize their campaign, and the longer Derby go without scoring the more the fans will get on their back. It will be close, but the Rams should edge this one out.
Prediction: Derby 1-0 Rotherham
Norwich City manager Alex Neil
Norwich City – Home
Dependent on how they bounce back in the next few weeks, this could be the perfect opportunity for McClaren’s men to face Norwich. The Canaries have been on a poor run of form in the last few weeks and Derby’s should have enough to atleast come away with a point from the clash.
Prediction: Derby 2-2 Norwich
