It’s been a strong start to the season for Chelsea as they prepare to face Liverpool tonight, looking to maintain their unbeaten record.

With no European competition to contend in this season, Antonio Conte is able to focus all of his attention on the league and domestic cups. It’s no surprise then that they’ve made an impressive start to the campaign, finding themselves in 2nd. With three games left in September, the club show no signs of slowing down.

Liverpool – Home (Premier League)

It’s always a fascinating fixture when these two sides go head to head, as you can never tell who is going to get the edge on the day. Both sides are benefiting and suffering from the lack of European football, however it does allow them to prioritise this game above any other.

With a fully strengthened squad Chelsea will see this as a must-win game, but Liverpool’s attacking threat will also give them the confidence that they can snatch a point. It’ll be a close encounter that’s likely to have some form of controversy before the final whistle is blown.

Prediction: Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool

Leicester City – Away (League Cup)

The question of whether or not the League Cup is deemed important is something that every manager has to contend with. With Leicester having a poor start to their league campaign and Chelsea flourishing, it makes this game all the more interesting.

With it being away, Chelsea will likely be facing a hostile atmosphere from a home crowd who will be hungry to see another victory after their midweek triumph against Club Brugge. It’ll be a long and interesting night, and extra time is a big possibility.

Arsenal – Away (Premier League)

Arsenal vs Chelsea is a bitter rivalry that’s developed over many years, with Didier Drogba playing a big helping hand in making that happen. The Blues always seem to get one over on their London rivals, and this season appears to be no different as they have a stronger and more focused side under Conte.

The game being at the Emirates is a big positive for Arsenal, however if an early goal were to go in then the fans would quickly start to turn against their side. It’s set to be a close game, but it should end up being three points for the visitors.

Prediction: Arsenal 1-2 Chelsea
