Many people were writing Burnley off as nailed on relegation frontrunners before the season even started, so their position in 14th is certainly something to be proud of even at this early stage. They may let their guard down slightly in comparison to when they come up against bigger sides, but they will expect to get something out of this game.

West Brom’s erratic nature this season is turning into a poor run of form, with the Baggies now without a win in five. The pressure will be high at The Hawthorns for this clash and Burnley will travel to the Midlands knowing full well that they can easily unsettle Pulis’ men from the first whistle.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola

Taking scalps at home has been Burnley’s trademark throughout their Premier League history, however this may be a step too far for Dyche’s men. When a side as strong as City get back to full form it is a frightening prospect, and following the victory over Barcelona the confidence will be at an all-time high for Guardiola’s side.
