West Bromwich Albion have only signed three players to date, with one heading straight out on loan, so more new faces are needed sooner rather than later.

West Bromwich Albion fans will be desperately hoping there is a late surge of arrivals having seen only Jay Rodriguez and Zhang Yuning bought so far.

The latter has already headed out on loan to the Bundesliga, and while Baggies supporters will be excited by the prospect of Rodriguez rediscovering his best form at The Hawthorns, they cannot head into the new Premier League campaign without considerable investment.

Republic of Ireland's James McCarthy in action with Georgia's Levan Mchedlidze

According to a recent report from the print edition of the Sunday People (23/07/2017 page 51), West Brom manager Tony Pulis is a big fan of James McCarthy and wants to sign the Republic of Ireland international from Everton…for the right price.

Then there are the ongoing links with Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson, with the Daily Mail claiming the Baggies have failed with a £21million bid to bring the centre-back to the club.

The Express and Star suggests that Marc Wilson could arrive this summer, although the Bournemouth player would be a squad man rather than a regular starter.

Ahmed Hagazi has arrived on loan and has impressed during pre-season, but if Gibson follows it may be the current Boro player who forms a partnership with Jonny Evans, especially if McCarthy arrives to shore up the midfield.

With all that in mind here is how we predict West Brom could line up if they sign all their main targets in the next few weeks:
