Antonio Conte might decide to make a couple of changes to his Tottenham side after last watching a 1-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup. Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Moura are fit again, but only one could start.

Harry Winks and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg were criticised for their performance against Boro at Riverside last time out – as Josh Coburn scored the only goal of the game. Bentancur is fit again, but unlikely to start.

That is according to Uruguay’s team manager, Diego Alonso, who was quoted on Monday as saying that Bentancur has only returned to training today. So, Bentancur, 24, might only make the bench against Everton.

It means Winks and Hojbjerg are likely to continue in the middle of the park, with Oliver Skipp still sidelined. But it could be out wide in which Conte makes changes to his side. On the right, Spurs have struggled.

Two changes, Bentancur misses out: Tottenham XI to face Everton

On the left, Ryan Sessegnon has started the last few games but for the sake of shaking things up – Conte might choose to bring Sergio Reguilon back into the starting line-up, especially after Sessegnon was poor against Boro.

Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal are both players that are unlikely to have a long-term Spurs future. Conte wanted Adama Traore in January, but a move fell through. Doherty has started the last few games under Conte.

It might be that Conte drops Kulusevski into wing-back, which he did against Burnley – and bring Lucas Moura back into the side following his return. Sessegnon and Doherty out, in come Lucas and Reguilon.
