Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho finally found a winning formula for his side, as they beat Arsenal 2-1 yesterday.
Tottenham switched to a 4-4-2 formation against Arsenal and carried far more attacking intent than they had in recent matches.
Although Spurs tended to play on the counter attack, they still managed to muster up nine shots on target over the course of the 90 minutes.
It seems likely that Mourinho will operate with the same shape against Newcastle, but he may just tweak the system to make it an even more attacking one.
Tottenham started with Moussa Sissoko on the right against Arsenal, but he could be sacrificed to make way for £27 million man Steven Bergwijn (BBC Sport).
Spurs are unlikely to need as much defensive cover against a Newcastle team who generally sit deep, and that could just mean Mourinho deploys Bergwijn as a more conventional winger, rather than Sissoko.
There are also doubts over whether Serge Aurier will play after a personal tragedy, but if he does choose to make himself available, he will surely be start – given Tottenham’s limited options at right-back.
