Tottenham Hotspur welcome London neighbours Watford to White Hart Lane for a Saturday lunch time Premier League encounter.

The home side’s late rally over Swansea City in midweek provided Mauricio Pochettino’s troops with their fifth consecutive top-flight victory – with the in-form trio of Dele Alli, Son Heung-Min and Christian Eriksen all bagging goals in the closing minutes at the Liberty Stadium.

However, it is was the impactful substitution of forward Vincent Janssen that could prompt Pochettino to consider changes to his starting XI for the visit of Watford.

Janssen, who has experienced a well-documented struggle since signing for Spurs in the summer, made significant contributions to the two injury-time goals against the Swans and may well be afforded a starting berth against Walter Mazzarri’s Hornets – with Moussa Sissoko likely to take a place on the bench.

Meanwhile, opponents Watford will be unable to select defender Miguel Britos, as the 31-year-old Uruguayan is suspended for the trip to North London. It is expected that the returning Sebastian Prodl will be a direct replacement for Britos – as the Austrian international has recovered from his recent rib injury.

Watford will be hoping to build upon their recent encouraging form, which has seen Mazzarri’s side win back-to-back Premier League games on their way to 10th position in the top flight.
