Here is how we predict Tottenham Hotspur will line up against Southampton next week:

Tottenham Hotspur travel to St Mary’s next week to take on Southampton in their latest Premier League clash.

Spurs have put the disappointment of their 1-0 defeat to Manchester United behind them by recording back-to-back victories against Hull City and Burnley, but a trip to Southampton is never an easy proposition.

Tottenham are currently fifth in the table, three points clear of fifth-placed United and one behind fierce rivals Arsenal, so there is all to play for over the festive period.

As for Southampton they are seventh with 24 points from 17 matches and they will be desperate to get one over their former boss Mauricio Pochettino.

In early team news, Tottenham are without Erik Lamela due to a hip injury while Vincent Janssen is rated at 50/50 to recover from an ankle problem.

Spurs also have minor doubts regarding Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld but both are expected to be fit.

Southampton cannot call on Matt Targett, Jeremy Pied or Charlie Austin but they have an otherwise clean bill of health.
