Mauricio Pochettino is likely to alter his Tottenham Hotspur side after they suffered a 2-1 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final last time out at Wembley.

Alli’s goal was cancelled out by strikes from Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera, and the loss will give Pochettino license to drop a number of first-team stars if required.

The north Londoners go up against Watford on Monday night in the Premier League at Wembley, as they look to take a giant leap towards Champions League qualification with all three points against Javi Gracia’s side.

Michel Vorm started in goal for Spurs against United and has since faced huge backlash from fans after failing to stop Herrera’s effort that squirmed under the Dutchman’s body and into the net.

He could have played his last game for the club, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season as Hugo Lloris is expected to return to the starting line-up.

Mousa Dembele’s performance was poor and lackadaisical against United, and he should be dropped for Victor Wanyama despite both players reportedly on the transfer list at Spurs, according to the Daily Mail.

Dembele is reportedly worth £20million, and his contract has just one more year left to run – with the Daily Star claiming he earns £80,000 a week in north London.

They are two of just four players who could leave in a £170million firesale, as well as Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld who are also expected to miss out. Son Heung-min was ineffective against United, and Erik Lamela should be considered.
