Jose Mourinho may make changes after the 3-0 win over Leeds United on Saturday, and with that in mind, here’s our predicted lineup…
Joe Hart may want to play in key cup games, but it seems likely that Mourinho will go with first-choice stopper Hugo Lloris with silverware in sight.
Serge Aurier is back in training and could start at right back, with Davinson Sanchez coming into the side to partner Eric Dier at centre back.
Sergio Reguilon was only on the bench against Leeds, so a return to start tonight seems sensible, even if he has come in for criticism for flouting lockdown rules.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is Mourinho’s key man in midfield, whilst Moussa Sissoko is likely to come back into the side having been on the bench against Leeds.
This could be another chance for Dele Alli to start given that Tanguy Ndombele may need to have his minutes managed in light of Giovani Lo Celso’s injury, whilst Son Heung-min and Harry Kane are likely to be in attack.
Steven Bergwijn started against Leeds, so we’re backing Lucas Moura for a start here, with Gareth Bale and Erik Lamela unavailable.
That would likely leave the likes of Hart, Ben Davies, Toby Alderweireld, Harry Winks, Ndombele, Bergwijn and Carlos Vinicius on the bench as Spurs seek a passage to Wembley.
