Match to be played on Sunday 10th November 2013 at 12:00. Venue: White Hart Lane, London.
Tottenham head into this weekend’s clash against Newcastle United looking to close the gap on rivals Arsenal at the top of the Premier League.
Andre Villas-Boas will be hoping for a better performance than in the 0-0 draw at Everton last weekend, where the side looked a little flat and void of ideas at points in the match.
The Spurs boss could consider a few changes to try and inject some excitement and creativity into his side, which will go a long way to creating a cauldron like atmosphere at White Hart Lane.

Here’s the side AVB could go with.
GK – Hugo Lloris
Lloris has had a chance to rest following that blow to the head last weekend. He’s one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, a very quick player who is able to race out if the high Tottenham defensive line makes a mistake.
RB – Kyle Walker
Walker is the best right-back that Spurs have and a player who is equally comfortable whether he’s going forward or whether he’s pinned back in defence. There are some good right-backs in the Premier League at the moment so this is just another chance for him to show off his quality.
CB – Michael Dawson
Dawson is a vital piece of the back four. His leadership skills are very important in keeping the Tottenham defence organised. He’s also good in the air which removes any aerial threat Newcastle may pose.
CB – Vlad Chiriches
Chiriches seems to have settled into the defence nicely and has shaken off any sign of early nerves attached to his game. He covers for other players well and he’s able to match up against a variety of attacking players.
LB – Jan Vertonghen
The Belgian said earlier this week that he wasn’t completely comfortable playing at left-back but once again, he doesn’t have much of a choice. Defensively he’s a very solid player and he’ll get forward when he can to support the midfield.
RM – Andros Townsend
Townsend has been one of the exciting players of the Premier League this season. There have been signs that sides are starting to work out how to play against him, which makes it important that he can reinvent himself.
DM – Sandro
Sandro should play the holding role in midfield. He’s a very good player when it comes to making his presence known and a little bit of aggression in the middle of the team is what AVB will want.

CM – Paulinho
The Brazilian should slot into central midfield and he’ll be the player urged to pull the strings in the middle of the side. Paulinho can drop deep to aid the defence and he can get forward, he’s a classic box-to-box player.
AM – Christian Eriksen
Having Eriksen roaming away at the top of the midfield is going to mean a little more creativity in the side. He’s a very good player in behind a main striker and he can create a chance for a teammate in a split second.
LM – Aaron Lennon
Lennon can provide the width over on the left hand side. His pace makes him a threat in terms of attacking the full back but he’s also very good when it comes to cutting inside, laying the ball off and taking shots on goal.
ST – Roberto Soldado
Despite Jermain Defoe’s European exploits, Soldado will more than likely continue in attack. He has to be very active in terms of his runs and movements, as he tries to drag players out of position.
