Tottenham Hotspur go into the game against Fulham this Saturday looking to close the gap on Everton in fifth place.

Spurs boss Tim Sherwood has had to contend with a great deal of speculation over his position at White Hart Lane but he’ll be fully focused on his side getting three points during the Easter break in front of a home crowd.

Here’s the side he could go with for the game.

GK – Hugo Lloris

Lloris is one of the few Tottenham players assured of his starting place in the first team. He’s an aggressive and proactive goalkeeper, always looking for ways to take the pressure off of his back four.

RB – Kyle Naughton

Kyle Walker has been missing since he picked up a problem against Benfica, which means another chance for Naughton to play down the right.

CB – Younes Kaboul

Kaboul has just stated that he believes he’s getting back to his best in a Spurs shirt. He’ll need to have a better performance than the one he produced against West Brom.

CB – Vlad Chiriches

Chiriches is one of the quickest players in Tottenham’s team. He can get back that half a yard and also looks comfortable playing a high line of defence.

LB – Danny Rose

There will be a lot of pressure on Rose to get forward regularly during this game. He has the pace needed to hurt Fulham down the left hand side.

RM – Aaron Lennon

Lennon has been a regular since Sherwood took charge of the club. He’ll likely keep his place at right midfield.

CM – Nabil Bentaleb

Bentaleb featured regularly when Sherwood first took over but he now finds himself out of the starting side. This could be a chance for the boss to get him back into the team.

CM – Paulinho

Paulinho needs to play well over the rest of the season considering the recent pressure he put Sherwood under to play him.

LM – Christian Eriksen

The Dane was the reason Spurs got back into the game against West Brom. He scored the equaliser in the closing seconds of the match.

ST – Emmanuel Adebayor

Adebayor has been in resurged form since he was handed a second chance to play by Sherwood. He should start.

ST – Harry Kane

Kane has said he feels he’s good enough to lead the Tottenham attack, it’s time for him to back up his goal against the Baggies with Roberto Soldado still out of action.
