Out would go Eric Dier, Erik Lamela, Kieran Trippier, Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele and Davinson Sanchez.
There is also a case to rest Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris and Christian Eriksen, but Tottenham must show a solid Brighton side the respect they deserve, and try and ensure a win to get back into good habits ahead of the crucial fixture with United.
This would be a big chance for Toby Alderweireld to get back into Spurs’ plans and potentially secure a place on the bench after failing to make recent squads.
Ben Davies could even be rested too if Danny Rose is recovered from his calf strain, and Fernando Llorente should return to the Spurs bench.
