This XI has two changes from Sunderland’s starting XI against Celtic, both on the right hand side.
Wahbi Khazri is not only likely to leave the club, but he is also battling with an ankle injury, having been substituted just half an hour in against Celtic.
Putting in academy breakthrough talent George Honeyman could give the side a lift, while at right-back Adam Matthews replacing Bradley Jones could give the back four the change it needs after last weekend.
