Here is how we predict Sunderland will line up for this evening’s clash with Nottingham Forest:

Sunderland welcome Nottingham Forest to the Stadium of Light later today for their latest Championship clash, and the Black Cats will be desperate to get another three points on the board.
Simon Grayson’s side have struggled so far this season, picking up only five points from their first six matches and falling to 20th in the table as a result.

There is still a long way to go but Sunderland cannot afford to fall further behind the sides pushing hard for promotion, with the English second tier famously hard to navigate at the best of times.
In early team news, Sunderland will give late fitness tests to Lamine Kone, Aiden McGeady and Lee Cattermole but Bryan Oviedo should be over his fatigue to take his place in the starting XI if called upon.
Duncan Watmore, Brendan Galloway and Paddy McNair are not yet fit to return, which leaves Grayson with some interesting decisions to make as he bids to get his side back to winning ways.
Forest are currently 12th in the league with nine points from a possible 18 and they will know that a few quick victories could propel them up the table.
The same can be said of Sunderland, who need to turn things round before the knives come out for Grayson – the man tasked with getting them back to the top flight at the first time of asking.
With all that in mind here is how we expect Sunderland to line up when they face Forest:
