Here is how we predict Sunderland will line up against Brentford on Saturday:

Simon Grayson, Manager of Sunderland looks on prior to the Carabao Cup Third Round match between Everton and Sunderland at Goodison Park on September 20, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Sunderland travel to Griffin Park this weekend to take on Brentford in their latest Championship clash and the Black Cats will be desperate to get another three points on the board.

Simon Grayson’s side are currently in 23rd position in the second tier with just eight points from a possible 36 and that is a simply atrocious return from a club that had been expected to challenge for automatic promotion this season.

General view inside the stadium prior the Premier League match between Sunderland and Manchester City at Stadium of Light on March 5, 2017 in Sunderland, England.

There is still plenty of football to be played this season, and Sunderland are only three points away from 21st-placed Birmingham City, but the Black Cats look incapable of stringing a run of victories together with the players currently at their disposal.

Sunderland have drawn their last two matches – against Preston North End and Queens Park Rangers – and it has been an alarmingly long time since their last victory.

That needs to change sooner rather than later if Grayson wants to keep his job and with Brentford also struggling he will be hopeful of bringing a huge three points back to the Stadium of Light.

Here we take a look at the side we think could take to the field for Sunderland on Saturday afternoon:
