Ndombele came off the bench in Tottenham’s last match, and sparked a small improvement against Bournemouth.
With Mourinho suggesting that Giovani Lo Celso was tired, it could be that the Argentine is dropped to make room for Ndombele.
Elsewhere, Lucas must feel confident of starting – given Mourinho’s faith in him.
Lucas has not enjoyed the most productive of times, but Mourinho appears to really rate him, and he looks more likely than £27 million man (BBC Sport) Steven Bergwijn to start down the flank.
Elsewhere, Erik Lamela could be picked to continue in an attacking midfield spot, as his tenacity is likely to be useful in a derby match and Heung-Min Son will surely return to Tottenham’s starting team.
