Sheffield Wednesday’s disappointing 2017-18 campaign comes to an end against Norwich City on Sunday.

Lucky for the Owls, things have started to look up these past two months, in which a run of five wins, a draw and two defeats pulled Jos Luhukay’s side away from relegation danger.

Unlike the lead up to the previous two summers, certainty over their divisional status has allowed Wednesday to be uncharacteristically pro-active, releasing veteran duo Glenn Loovens and Ross Wallace this week.

And with Norwich having themselves announced the departure of Wes Hoolahan ahead of the game, emotion could be high around Hillsborough – as it was the last time the Canaries ended a campaign there a decade ago, which proved to be the final appearance of Dion Dublin’s long career.

Whether Loovens will get a run out, however, remains to be seen, while neither Wallace (injured) nor Hoolahan (who was given his send-off last weekend) will feature.

A small cameo is perhaps most likely for Loovens, and with Luhukay having vowed to give youth a chance next season, a debut for Ashley Baker – the right-back who has impressed for Wednesday’s Under-23s this season – could be on the cards.

Here’s how we think the Owls could line up…
