Sheffield Wednesday’s arduous run continues against Bristol City.

Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to put the disappointment of Wednesday night’s draw with West Bromwich Albion behind them when they travel to Bristol City on Sunday.
The Owls took a two-goal led into the final five minutes of normal time at Hillsborough, only for the Baggies to strike twice in that time to salvage a point.
Still, Jos Luhukay’s side have only lost one of their last eight in the league, despite an ongoing arduous run of games against promotion contenders – including Stoke City, Leeds United and Aston Villa as well as West Brom.
And with key man Barry Bannan back from suspension, and no new injury concerns, Sheffield Wednesday have every reason to fancy their chances against Bristol City – despite suffering a 4-0 defeat in the same fixture only seven months ago.

Bannan will almost certainly start at Ashton Gate, although it remains to be seen whether Josh Onomah – the player who proved a more than adequate midweek replacement – will be the one to make way, with a change of system – from 3-4-2-1 to 4-3-3 – also possible.
Such a tweak did however contribute to last season’s negative result – albeit achieved with an almost unrecognisable 11.
Either way, Jordan Thorniley and Steven Fletcher are themselves strong candidates to return in defence and attack, respectively.
