Leeds United can inflict yet more misery on Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal.

Back to back defeats, one to their city rivals, another to the Championship’s second most out of form side have left Sheffield Wednesday languishing in the table’s bottom half ahead of Sunday’s visit of third-place Leeds United, who finished three places below them last season.
All talk of a promotion challenge such as that one has halted for the time being, with the future of head coach Carlos Carvalhal the main topic of conversation.
Many believe the time is up for Carvalhal, who led the Owls to sixth and fourth in his two previous campaigns at Hillsborough.

Nevertheless, it’s looking unlikely the Portuguese will vacate his post ahead of Leeds’ visit, although the result could seriously affect his future at the club.
To make matters worse, several key players – including talisman Fernando Forestieri, goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and summer signing George Boyd – are all expected to miss out for Wednesday, although captain Glenn Loovens and midfielder Sam Hutchinson could make welcome returns.
