Here is how we predict Glasgow Rangers will line up for their first match of the new campaign.

Rangers are back to business early as they kick off their Europa League qualifying campaign with a two-legged clash against Luxembourg side Progres Niederkorn.

Gers fans would have been forgiven for heading straight to Google after Pedro Caixinha’s side were drawn against a team few would have heard of. But the Portuguese boss will not be taking this game lightly and will understand the importance of navigating some tricky early matches in the hope of ultimately reaching the group stage.

Rangers have been busy this summer, quickly sealing a number of impressive transfers to ensure their starting XI will look considerably different to the one that finished last season.

Among the players expected to be on show later this week are Alfredo Morelos, Fabio Cardoso, Ryan Jack and Carlos Pena.

New centre-back Bruno Alves is unavailable due to his participation in this summer’s Confederations Cup with Portugal.

There will also be no action for six senior figures who have all been left out of Europa League squad for this qualifier.

Joe Dodoo, Rob Kiernan, Andy Halliday, Matt Crooks, Harry Forrester and Michael O’Halloran have all been omitted and most, if not all, could be gone by the close of the transfer window.

New winger Daniel Candeias will not feature due to a delay in registering the paperwork, while if Caixinha opts not to overload his starting line-up with new additions, the likes of Eduardo Herrera and Dalcio could start on the bench.

With all that in mind here is how we expect Rangers to line up later this week:
