Rangers travel to Perth to face Tommy Wright’s St. Johnstone on Sunday.

Steven Gerrard will be forced into making a couple of changes to his Rangers side as they travel to Perth to face St. Johnstone on Sunday afternoon.
Wednesday night’s frustrating 0-0 draw with Hibernian was made worse after Steven Gerrard confirmed Scott Arfield had suffered a hamstring injury, while Gareth McAuley also had to come off early.
The duo have been crucial to Rangers in the last few games, helping Gerrard begin to set up a core in the Rangers side. Other than Allan McGregor, Arfield has perhaps been the pick of Gerrard’s 15 summer signings.
But Arfield’s absence will be covered by Ross McCrorie, who came on against Hibs and impressed. Gerrard described his second-half display as “stunning”.
Meanwhile in defence, Nikola Katic could be given a chance to shine in Perth, in what would be his first start for the Gers since the 7-1 win over Motherwell back on November 11 – more than five weeks ago.

Elsewhere, Eros Grezda struggled in the final third, with his decision making coming into question at Easter Road against Neil Lennon’s side. With Gerrard continuing his rotation policy, he may be dropped.
Replacing him would be impressive teen Glenn Middleton in three changes made by Gerrard. In come Katic, McCrorie and Middleton for McAuley, Arfield and Grezda.
