Rangers’ fight for second place continues with a trip to Pittodrie on Tuesday night.

Just days after a crucial 1-0 win over Kilmarnock, Rangers face an even more important clash against Aberdeen on Tuesday night and the return of Josh Windass will boost their hopes of a win.
The Gers closed the gap on second-placed Aberdeen to just a point, as Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson orchestrated their side’s late 1-0 win over Kilmarnock thanks to a David Bates winner in the 85th minute.
With only a point separating Rangers and Derek McInnes’ side, a win over the Dons will take the Light Blues into second behind Celtic. Hibs also remain in the hunt for second, sitting two points behind Rangers.

If Celtic win the Scottish Cup, and a second successive treble, then whoever finishes second will qualify for the second qualifying round of the Europa League, while third and fourth will enter at the first qualifying stage.
A win is a must on Tuesday night at Pittodrie, then, and the Daily Record claim 24-year-old playmaker Windass has returned from a knock to his knee that saw him miss Saturday’s 1-0 win.

He is expected to return to the side, while Ross McCrorie’s second-half display after replacing Jason Cummings at half-time on the weekend is likely to see the versatile youngster also start.
Two changes are expected to face the Dons then, with Windass and McCrorie coming in for Jason Holt and Cummings.
