Match to be played on Saturday 20th September 2014 at 12:45. Venue: Loftus Road Stadium, London.
Harry Redknapp will be hoping for a much better performance when his QPR side host Stoke City this weekend.
QPR were well beaten by a resurgent Manchester United last weekend and the boss could make a couple of changes after that defeat, as the side look to get back on track.
Here’s the side Redknapp could go with.
GK – Rob Green
Green is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League when he’s fit and in form. He starts.
RB – Mauricio Isla
He struggled against Manchester United but should get better with the more Premier League football he plays.
CB – Rio Ferdinand
Ferdinand has been on the wrong end of bad results before and has the experience to ensure similar mistakes aren’t made in midfield.
CB – Steven Caulker
Has more pace than Ferdinand and should be equally determined to make sure the defence performs more effectively.
LB – Clint Hill
Injects more experience into the defence but has to drop off and give himself more time to react against quicker players.
RM – Leroy Fer
If QPR can get Fer on the ball frequently, he can control possession and create chances for others.
CM – Joey Barton
Barton will inject some bite and aggression into midfield. He’ll also grab the team by the scruff of the neck when needed.
CM – Jordan Mutch
Mutch has been tipped to return this weekend and Redknapp could throw him into the side to further freshen up the midfield.
CM – Junior Hoilett
Looked like one of the few players who could trouble Manchester United last weekend. His pace will be vital.
LM – Matt Phillips
Phillips should enjoy more space down his side of the pitch. He could make hay if QPR get the chance to counter attack.
ST – Eduardo Vargas
Another potential change if Vargas is fine after a head injury. A chance for him to make a claim to the spot up front.
