Newcastle could well return to a favourite formation of earlier in the season as they look to rediscover their best form on Tuesday.

Newcastle United will look to bring their miserable four-match losing run to an end at West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
Rafa Benitez’s men have fallen away in recent weeks, with narrow defeats to Burnley and Bournemouth followed by humblings at the hands of Manchester United and Watford.
But the Magpies have the opportunity to return to winning ways at the Hawthorns and they could have some key men back in the fold…

Rob Elliot is likely to continue in goal while, with Jamaal Lascelles and Paul Dummett still not fully fit, the defence should also remain unchanged.
The big changes will come further forward, where Benitez will surely switch back to his favoured 4-2-3-1 formation after a poor run with a 4-4-2.
Isaac Hayden will bolster the midfield on his return, but the altered system also gives Benitez the opportunity to name another man in the middle and, as Ayoze Perez continues to struggle for form, that could see Jonjo Shelvey shift forward and Mikel Merino come back into the starting line-up.
Perez could well pay the price for Joselu’s dismal performances, given he works better with a target man, and so Dwight Gayle could be the man to lead the line ahead of Shelvey.
