Newcastle United and Swansea City go head-to-head at the Liberty Stadium this weekend as they return to domestic action following the latest international break.

Both sides will be desperate for the victory, with the Magpies managing just three points from their opening three matches and the Swans just one place and one point better off as things stand.

Newcastle had a transfer window to forget, with manager Rafa Benitez struggling to sign the players that would have given them a shot of finishing in the top half of the table. However he still made some canny additions, with Jacob Murphy, Mikel Merino and Florian Lejeune the pick of the bunch.

Swansea welcomed Wilfried Bony back to the club and the Ivorian striker will be hoping to score on his second debut for the club where he made his name in England.

In early team news, Newcastle are without Karl Darlow, Paul Dummett and Aleksandar Mitrovic, while there are major doubts regarding Lejeune and DeAndre Yedlin.

Dwight Gayle has a 75 per cent chance of recovering from illness in time to feature and Chanvel Mbemba should recover from a minor knock.

With all that in mind here is how we expect Newcastle to line up against Swansea on Sunday afternoon:
