Newcastle United and Leicester City go head-to-head this weekend.
Newcastle United welcome Leicester City to St. James’ Park on Saturday for their latest Premier League clash and the Magpies will be hoping to get their first victory in seven attempts.
Rafa Benitez’s men have slipped alarmingly down the table in recent weeks and they cannot afford to drop more points when they host the Foxes.
Newcastle are currently 15th in the table, only five points clear of the relegation zone with the busy Christmas fixtures fast approaching.
As for Leicester, they are five points better off and will be looking to stake a claim for the best of the rest after a resurgent run under their new boss Claude Puel.
In early team news Newcastle are likely to be without Jamaal Lascelles due to a foot injury while Paul Dummett and Christian Atsu are rated at 50 per cent, with the former lacking match fitness and the latter suffering from a thigh problem.
A win for Newcastle would give them a timely boost and could shoot them back up to 10th in the league but it will be easier said than done.
