Newcastle United travel to the KC Stadium on Tuesday evening to take on Hull City in the quarter-final of the EFL Cup.

The Magpies are flying high in the Championship, but their defeat to Blackburn Rovers last time out means they will be desperate to get back to winning ways.

Newcastle manager Rafa Benitez rotated his squad for that clash with this cup match in mind and the Spaniard is likely to go strong as he bids to reach another major semi-final.

As for Hull, they are currently in the Premier League’s bottom three, fighting hard for every point in a bid for survival.

The Tigers did just that on Saturday as they came from behind to draw 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion and now it is up to their manager Mike Phelan to get his side focused for a change of competition.

The two sides will know how close they are to a final so they will surely pick their best available teams for this encounter.
