Here is how we predict Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United will line up this weekend:
To be played on Saturday 4th March 2017 at 17:30. Venue: John Smith’s Stadium, Huddersfield
Odds: Huddersfield 9/5, Draw 21/10, Newcastle 6/4
Newcastle United head to the John Smith’s Stadium this weekend to take on promotion rivals Huddersfield Town in their latest Championship clash.
The Magpies will be flying high after their 2-1 victory against Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, when two goals in the last 10 minutes gave Rafa Benitez’s side a crucial three points and a psychological victory against the team fighting them for the title.
But there is still plenty of work to do and it continues with a match against a third-placed Huddersfield side that are many people’s tip for play-off victors come May.
Benitez has some decisions to make, not least who to play in attacking areas after starting the match against Brighton without a recognised centre forward.
Given how the game turned in Newcastle’s favour after Daryl Murphy’s introduction earlier this week, surely the Republic of Ireland international deserves a start on Saturday, but much will depend on how Benitez fits goal-scorers Mo Diame and Ayoze Perez into his starting XI after their midweek heroics.
That said, another super-sub appearance from the latter may be the best he can hope for.
