Liverpool had two pieces of good news from Jurgen Klopp’s press conference on Friday.
The Premier League champions host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield tonight and although the likes of Thiago Alcantara remain out, along with long-term absentees Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk, there were promising updates about two other players.
Klopp revealed that Naby Keita and Trent Alexander-Arnold were both back in full training ahead of the visit of Nuno Espirito Santo’s outfit.
The Liverpool boss claimed both would probably be in the squad but refused to say whether he would bring them back into the first XI.
But there’s every chance that Keita may return to midfield.
The former Leipzig star, a £52 million signing by Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards, was available as recently as November 22, when Liverpool beat Leicester City.
In contrast, Alexander-Arnold hasn’t played since before the last international break and with his injury being a calf, and Keita’s being a hamstring, the latter might be that bit fresher than his team-mate all things considered.
Here’s a snap of Keita in training recently:

Elsewhere, Diogo Jota will likely keep Roberto Firmino out of the first XI again as he gears up to face his old club, while Neco Williams will be the man to cover Alexander-Arnold if Klopp does indeed keep him on the bench.
At the back, Caoimhin Kelleher is line for his Premier League debut after his heroics against Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday, as Alisson remains out.
Predicted Liverpool XI: Kelleher; N. Williams, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson; Henderson, Wijnaldum, Keita; Jota, Salah, Mane
