Liverpool travel to St. James’ Park this weekend to take on Newcastle United in their latest Premier League clash.

The Reds have been hit-and-miss so far this season, impressing with their attacking quality but failing to put away enough of the chances they regularly create, while looking characteristically jittery at the opposite end of the field.

Liverpool have recently returned from Russia, where they played out a 1-1 draw with Spartak Moscow despite having plenty of chances to win it. That is the story of the Reds’ season so far and they will be hoping to put Newcastle to the sword on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool are currently fifth in the Premier League table with 11 points from a possible 18 while Newcastle are two points and five places below them as things stand.

In early team news, Liverpool are without Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana but manager Jurgen Klopp has an otherwise full squad to choose from.
