The Premier League’s two most recent champions go head-to-head on Saturday lunchtime with neither side enjoying a great start to the season.

Both Chelsea and Leicester have only won once in their last four league games but Antonio Conte’s side are five points better off than The Foxes, who have won just two of their opening seven matches.

Leicester’s title defence has not gone according to plan with morale-crushing 4-1 defeats to Liverpool and Manchester United, while Chelsea also lost to Liverpool and were humbled 3-0 by Arsenal before bouncing back with a win over Hull City.

The Blues held Leicester to a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge last season but with both teams’ poor defensive records, this weekend’s clash could play host to a gluttony of goals.

The big news for Chelsea is that John Terry is fit and in contention to start for the first time since limping away from Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Swansea on the 11th September.

Conte deployed his favourite 3-5-2 formation in the win at Hull and is set to stick with it for Saturday, meaning Terry could line up alongside Gary Cahill and David Luiz with Branislav Ivanovic likely to remain on the bench.

Willian is absent on compassionate leave so Oscar could replace the Brazilian and Eden Hazard is expected to partner Diego Costa in attack.

For Leicester, Danny Drinkwater faces a late fitness test after missing England’s recent games against Malta and Slovenia with a groin injury but did train for most of this week.

Fellow midfielder Nampalys Mendy remains Claudio Ranieri’s biggest absentee sidelined with an ankle injury picked up in August’s draw with Arsenal, so Daniel Amartey will continue in his absence.

Otherwise it is as you would expect from The Foxes, who will be looking to avenge their 4-2 defeat at the hands of Chelsea in the EFL Cup last month.
