West Ham United could go as high as 12th with a win over Newcastle United on Saturday.

David Moyes, Manager of West Ham United looks on prior to the Premier League match between Stoke City and West Ham United at Bet365 Stadium on December 16, 2017 in Stoke on Trent, England.

West Ham have turned a corner under Moyes of late picking up seven points from games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Stoke City.

A slender 1-0 defeat with a much-changed XI in the Carabao Cup against Arsenal will have done little to damage confidence as the Hammers still looked nice and solid.

They face a Newcastle side in free fall at the London Stadium on Saturday but will have to make do without two of their most influential players of late Manuel Lanzini (suspended) and Mark Noble (injured).

Moyes looks set to make five changes to the team which lost at the Emirates in midweek.

Adrian of West Ham United celebrates his sides third goal during the Premier League match between Stoke City and West Ham United at Bet365 Stadium on December 16, 2017 in Stoke on Trent,...

Adrian in for Joe Hart

The goalkeeping debate at West Ham isn’t a debate anymore. Adrian is far and away the Hammers’ number one and Joe Hart’s shaky display at the Emirates only served to underline that fact. Adrian will come back in to face the side he was heavily linked with joining in the summer.

Pablo Zabaleta in for James Collins

Collins was solid against Stoke and Arsenal but will drop to the bench as the rested Zabaleta comes back into the side.

Cheikhou Kouyate in for Domingos Quina

Quina did reasonably well against Arsenal but was unspectacular given how much talk there has been about the Portuguese youngster. West Ham need experience for what is a crucial game in their season against Newcastle. Kouyate was due to return against Stoke last time out in the league and should be fit again just in time.

Marko Arnautovic of West Ham United celebrates after scoring his sides second goal during the Premier League match between Stoke City and West Ham United at Bet365 Stadium on December 16,...

Marko Arnautovic in for Javier Hernandez

Javier Hernandez is becoming a problem for West Ham. He does not offer enough to warrant starting and cannot play as a lone front man. Really he is more suited to a higher quality team providing more service. West Ham and Hernandez are not well matched and Arnautovic will once again relegate the Mexican to the bench after another anonymous performance.

Michail Antonio in for Andre Ayew

Antonio and Arnautovic have forged a powerful attacking partnership and they will resume it when Antonio replaces the ineffective Andre Ayew up front against Newcastle.
