Is Izzy Brown’s Leeds United debut on the horizon?

(L-R) Patrick Bamford of Leeds United challenges Matt Grimes of Swansea City during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Swansea City at Elland Road on February 13, 2019...

Injuries have meant that Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has shuffled his pack more times than David Blaine this season.

And he must do so again in Saturday’s visit of Bolton Wanderers.

Leeds confirmed on Monday that Kemar Roofe has suffered knee ligament damage and although no date has been offered on his return, he certainly won’t be facing the Trotters.

Patrick Bamford spearheaded the attack in the win over Swansea last time out and, barring catastrophe, he will do so again, but who replaces Roofe as the number 10 from last week?

The obvious candidate is Tyler Roberts, a £4 million [Daily Mail] signing from West Brom last January, but is it time for Bielsa to unleash Izzy Brown?

The Chelsea-owned playmaker, who earns £25,000 per week [Spotrac], is still waiting for his Whites debut in what’s been an injury-ravaged loan spell in West Yorkshire.

But he has been available for selection in games against Swansea and Middlesbrough, though Bielsa has kept him on the bench.

Brown playing in behind Bamford is the axis that Leeds fans have been waiting to see since August and maybe, just maybe, circumstance means they’ll see it this weekend.
