Leeds United play a behind-closed-doors friendly match later this week.

New Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen has the first chance to his new players in action when they take on Harrowgate Town in a specially arranged friendly match on Wednesday.

While Whites fans can see their club in action the following Saturday against Guiseley, the players get an early chance to shake off the dust with just the staff watching from the side-lines.

The Leeds line-up is likely to be a mixture of players who will start the new campaign and those who are fighting for their future at the club, and it will be interesting to see what decisions Christiansen makes once he has seen his players in action over the next few weeks.

One player who could get an unlikely run-out is Giuseppe Bellusci, who is one of just two senior centre-backs available to Leeds with Pontus Jansson only returning today from an extended break and unlikely to be risked so soon.

Chris Wood is also missing following his participation in the Confederations Cup so Marcus Antonsson may get a start as the only available out-and-out striker.

New Leeds addition Mateusz Klich could start alongside Pablo Hernandez, adding considerable creativity from the centre of the park, while last season’s skipper Liam Bridcutt will know his every performance will be scrutinised as he bids to keep hold of the arm band.

Hadi Sacko, who agreed a permanent switch earlier in the summer, will be desperate to impress but could struggle for minutes if Leeds successful bring in all their alleged attacking targets.

With all that in mind here is how we predict Leeds to line up on Wednesday:
