Odds: Brentford 7/5, Draw 23/10, Leeds 13/8

Leeds United fans should have Saturday’s defeat coming. The Whites had lost all three of their post-international break fixtures this season without scoring – and Reading proved no different.

Crucially, though, Garry Monk’s side have recovered from each of those setbacks, winning two and drawing the other, which should give them confidence ahead of Tuesday’s trip to Brentford.

Changes will likely be made by Leeds in the aftermath of their latest defeat, although quite how many remains to be seen.

Monk has key man Luke Ayling available again, but might not be so lucky where Pontus Jansson’s fitness is concerned.

And, even if the Swede is given the all-clear, there are no guarantees he’ll return after being dropped against Brighton two games ago.

Stand-in Liam Cooper could yet be charged by the FA following his alleged stamp on Reading’s Reece Oxford, although he is unlikely to face an immediate suspension.

Few would complain were the 25-year-old to drop out, however, and it could well go to Ayling with both Gaetano Berardi and Charlie Taylor performing well at full-back.

Further upfield, Hadi Sacko could lose his place to Souleymane Doukara after the Frenchman’s disappointing Royals display, while Pablo Hernandez may also drop out to accommodate Kalvin Phillips through the middle.

Alternatively, either of Eunan O’Kane, Kemar Roofe or Stuart Dallas could re-enter Monk’s plans at Griffin Park.
