Marcelo Bielsa may be tempted to make changes to his Leeds United side on Wednesday night as the Whites play host to Ipswich Town at Elland Road in the Championship.
Leeds have been on a poor run of late, winning only two of their last nine league and cup outings including a 2-1 loss to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday afternoon at Ewood Park.
The Yorkshire side dominated Saturday’s affair but two goals from set-pieces saw Blackburn come out on top, scoring either side of Matuesz Klich’s fifth goal of the season.
Leeds now sit in fourth place and their fall from first place continues, but they still remain only two points within the top of the table. If they are to remain promotion contenders, though, they need to start winning again.
That may convince Argentine manager Bielsa to make changes, then. Pablo Hernandez made a return off the bench on Saturday as he finally overcame an injury.
One of Leeds’ best players, the former Swansea City is likely to return to action and he is likely to replace Wales international Tyler Roberts, with Kemar Roofe playing wide right on Saturday. Hernandez comes in, and Roofe returns to spearhead the side.
Northern Ireland cap Stuart Dallas’ displays at left-back have been somewhat questionable and Bielsa should also consider bringing in Jamie Shackleton at right-back and move Gaetano Berardi over to the left side of defence.
