Paul Heckingbottom’s side have won just one in eight attempts since his February switch from Barnsley to Leeds United.

Leeds United will be desperate to return to winning ways as struggling Bolton Wanderers visit Elland Road on Friday.
The Whites have now gone four games without a win following their late 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday before the international break. Paul Heckingbottom’s team have conceded 10 goals in their last four outings, keeping just one clean sheet in eight since his arrival.

Although there is very little to play for in what remains of the campaign, many Leeds players are fighting for their futures right now, while Heckingbottom must earn results to ensure he remains in the dugout next season.
To make matters more difficult, the hosts remain without key men Luke Ayling, Kemar Roofe and Samuel Saiz. The former will miss the remainder of the campaign, but the latter two have shown signs of encouragement with returns pencilled in for shortly after Easter.

Heckingbottom has had a difficult time choosing a central midfield partnership since his arrival, with Eunan O’Kane and Kalvin Phillips failing to meet the standard required next to impressive January signing Adam Forshaw.
Another option for Leeds is 19-year-old Ronaldo Vieira, who has not started for the Whites since a 2-2 draw at Derby in February. With O’Kane hooked against Wednesday following another dreadful display, Heckingbottom must be weighing up an opportunity for academy graduate Vieira.

Matthew Pennington has generally struggled since replacing the injured Liam Cooper in a 3-0 loss to Wolves earlier in the month. The Scottish international is believed to be available once more for Friday’s contest and he is expected to step straight back into the line-up.
Elsewhere, Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban could drop to the bench following two successive blanks, with top scorer Pierre-Michel Lasogga waiting in the wings.

While Tom Pearce debuted last time out, expect Laurens de Bock to reclaim his left-back position after a bright start in Yorkshire.
