The Germans have been one of the most consistent sides since the start of the tournament and Jorgi Low is likely to name an extremely strong starting side for the match this Sunday.

The Bayern Munich goalkeeper is one of the most consistent ‘keepers in Europe and someone who allows his back four to play a higher line.
RB – Philipp Lahm
Looks comfortable at right-back due to his experience in the role. He’ll be a key figure in the defence.

The Borussia Dortmund defender was taken off against Brazil, most likely to protect him for this game. His performances have shown why Manchester United appear keen to sign him.
CB – Benedikt Howedes
Another experienced player who has had a very good tournament in the middle of the team. He starts.
LB – Jerome Boateng
The former Manchester City star should complete the back four line-up. He’s a versatile player and can cover a number of positions in defence.
RM – Thomas Muller
Muller is another versatile German player. He can drift into wide areas but is at his most effective through the middle of the team.
CM – Sami Khedira
The Real Madrid man and Arsenal target will most likely play as the deepest of the midfielders, hovering in front of the back four to provide extra protection.
CM – Bastian Schweinsteiger
Schweinsteiger provides an element of grit into the middle of the team. He will race around, snapping at the heels of Argentina’s key players.
CM – Toni Kroos
Kroos has arguably been the best midfielder at the tournament so far. He got on the score sheet against Brazil and help to destroy the tournament hosts. He looks set for a Real Madrid move after the tournament despite interest from Manchester United.
LM – Mesut Ozil
The Arsenal midfielder could be started in several positions but he won’t stay still, rotating with other players across the midfield throughout the game, which makes him difficult to pick up.
ST – Miroslav Klose
Klose has the chance to go out on a real high and if he scores, he can extend his record as the leading goalscorer in World Cup history.
